Ride for a Better Community - 2021

2021 is finally here. With all the craziness of 2020 behind us, the Venice Yacht Club Charitable Foundation is committed to helping those in our community who need a hand up. Last year the foundation provided 25 separate grants totaling $112,000. None of this would have been possible without the generous support of our VYC members and outside friends. A complete list of these grants can be seen on our website www.vyccf.com.

The 4th Annual Ride for a Better Community is fast approaching on Sunday, February 21. This is our major fundraising event and fun for the whole family. The 12-mile ride around Venice Island, on our low to no traffic course, is a great way to spend a Sunday morning. Registration can be done online via our website www.vyccf.com or you can pick up a registration form at the Club.

Please join in the fun as a rider, a loop sponsor of a rider or form a team! If you own a bike, this ride is for you. It is an event for everyone. We have many families and/or friends that get together and form teams. This is a fun ride, not a race. Whether you are an avid or casual rider you can be part of this ride.

If you do ride, get grandpa, grandma, uncles, aunts, sisters, brothers, your kids and friends to sponsor you in any amount for your loop around Venice Island. Invite them to cheer for you at the start and finish line. They can also join the fun at the after-ride breakfast outside on the beautiful VYC grounds on the bay.

We will be conducting the ride under approved Covid-19 safety precautions with social distancing, sanitation stations and masking (where required).

Mark your calendar and register as a rider as soon as possible. It’s fun, healthy and we need your support as we Chart a Course for a Better Community!
