Venice Yacht Club Charitable Foundation

Fellow Members,
I was sorry to learn that Jerry Jarrett passed away on May 28, 2014. Jerry was an early Foundation committee member and a great source of Foundation knowledge. Jerry was a very accomplished individual and had an amazing philanthropic background. His advice and counsel will be missed on the Foundation. We have many talented people here at the Venice Yacht Club.

The Foundation is starting a new six-month grant cycle which ends on November 1. We currently have $7,840 available for this grant cycle which we hope to increase to $20,000 to $30,000 with a successful fundraising effort.

The committee has selected the new Venice High School Performing Arts Center as our signature project for this year. The Performing Arts Center is projected to have a grand opening in November.

SAVE THE DATE: We are planning a fundraising party for the Center to be held on October 11 at the Venice Yacht Club. We are working on a program of entertainment that will involve four or five different short performances by various groups that will be using the new Performing Arts Center.
