Hello Fellow VYC Members.

We hope you all had a healthy and happy holiday season with family and friends.

With the holidays behind us, it is time to “Gear Up” for the 5th Annual Ride for a Better Community! Mark the Date, Sunday, Feb. 22 on your calendar.

Every year the popularity of this “12 Mile Fun Ride” around beautiful Venice Island grows . The funds it generates for those in our community that need a hand up also grows. Yes, this year - like last - we will also have a shorter six-mile loop. Our police escort will be returning to lead off the riders. Of course, there will be the participant group photo just before the ride starts.

This is an event in which everyone can participate. You can register as a rider. You can sponsor a rider’s loop. You can come as a spectator and cheer on your favorite rider or team. You can even volunteer to be a course monitor. Everyone can enjoy a hearty pancake breakfast and music provided by WC Sounds after the ride.

This event is open to anyone and everyone!! So please invite your extended family, friends, and neighbors to join.

The VYCCF Ride for a Better Community is our major fundraising event. Over the last four years it has generated over $134,000 that was dispersed to the many charities we support. We have set a goal of raising $60,000 for this year’s ride and hope to have over 200 riders.

Please be part of the fun and excitement There is no better way to spend a Sunday morning. To register online or sponsor a rider, visit www.VYCCF.com and follow the prompts to the Fund Easy website.
